RBI has published the Officers recruitment notification 2017 and applications are invited for the posts Officer in Grade-B- General (DR), Officer in Grade-B for Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR), Officers in Grade- B for Departments of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM) from Indian citizens.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) grade B officer recruitment has begun. “The Reserve Bank of India Services Board, hereinafter referred to as ‘Board’, would admit to the Examinations all the candidates applying for this post with the requisite fee/intimation charges (wherever applicable) on the basis of the information furnished in the ON-LINE application and shall determine their eligibility only at the final stage i.e. interview stage”, reads the official notification. A total of 161 vacancies have been notified by the Bank. Interested candidates should apply for the post only after confirming their eligibility.

# Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the 'Creamy Layer' are not entitled to OBC  reservation. They should indicate their category as 'General (GEN)’. $ Out of 145 vacancies mentioned above 1 vacancy is reserved for candidates with Visual  Impairment (VI) and 3 vacancies are reserved for candidates with Hearing Impairment (HI). No  backlog vacancies are available for OH category. However, PWD candidates belonging to any of  the three categories of the disability may apply for these posts, subject to their suitability for these  posts. Persons with Disability may belong to any category - GEN/SC/ST/OBC. * Backlog vacancy

Qualification: 

Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. Or Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/ years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects.More details visit official notification given below.


Who are not eligible to apply?

Those candidates  (belonging to general category) who have already appeared for the phase 1 exam 6 times for this post are not eligible.

RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment: Pre Exam Training

RBI will provide pre exam training to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates for Officers in Gr. B (DR)-General post only. Candidates will be given the training for phase 1 and 2 exam and it will be free of cost.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2017 - How to apply

#Candidates can apply online from Bank's official website. They can also register themselves from the link provided below.

#Once they have registered themselves under New User Registration, candidates need to upload their photograph and signature in the prescribed format and then pay the requisite fees.

#Do not forget to keep a copy of the Application form after final submit.

Minimum Number of attempts

Candidates belonging to unreserved i.e. General Category, who have already appeared Six times for Phase-I Examination for this post in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD, if the posts are reserved for them.
