The state government has initiated several schemes in the state for the welfare of women and children. Under its Arogya Lakshmi scheme, eggs, milk and nutritious food will be made available through the Anganwadis. Now The State Government of Telangana introduced a new Scheme i.e KCR Kit. KCR Kit Scheme Starts from 2rd June 2017. The state government of Telangana has proposed a new scheme named as KCR Kit focusing on women welfare and new born. The chief minister has come out with a Rs. 605 Crore innovative scheme “KCR Kit” for the pregnant women and new born. The scheme will help manage the complications during the time of pregnancy and help reduce infant mortality rate.The state government has launched this new KCR Kit scheme for the pregnant women with a budget outlay of Rs. 605 Crore for the financial year 2017-18. KCR Kit Scheme – Objectives
KCR Kit scheme is aimed at providing all essentials for a pregnant women and new born baby thus helping to manage the pregnancy complications. The main objective of the KCR Kit scheme is to reduce the infant mortality rate and encourage institutional deliveries in the state.
మాతా శిశు సంక్షేమంలో భాగంగా వచ్చే నెల 3 నుంచి బాలింతలకు కేసీఆర్ కిట్లను అందజేయనున్నారు. కేసీఆర్ కిట్లో 15 వస్తువులు ఉంటాయి. నవజాత శిశువు కోసం 11 రకాల వస్తువులు, తల్లి కోసం నాలుగు రకాల వస్తువులు ఉంటాయి. ఈ కిట్ విలువ 2వేల రూపాయలకు పైనే. రాష్ట్ర అవతరణ దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా జూన్ 2న సీఎం కేసీఆర్ ఈ పథకాన్నిప్రారంభించనున్నారు. దీంతోపాటు ఖర్చుల కోసం ఆడ బిడ్డ పుడితే 13 వేల రూపాయలు, మగ బిడ్డ పుడితే 12 వేల రూపాయలు తల్లి అకౌంట్లో జమ చేస్తారు. ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రిలో ప్రసవించిన వారికే ఈ పథకం వర్తిస్తుంది.

About KCR Kit Scheme:
Focussing on women welfare and new born, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has come out with an innovative scheme – KCR Kit.
The scheme is designed to address complications during the time of pregnancy and aimed at reducing infant mortality rate and encourage institutional deliveries.
The KCR Kit consists of 16 essential things needed for a new-born and will be useful for up to three months.
The kit comes packed with soaps useful for mother and child, baby oil, baby bed, mosquito net, dresses, sarees, hand bag, towels and napkins, powder, diapers, shampoo and toys for the kid.
The government proposes to earmark ₹605 crore for the scheme, State Finance Minister Etela Rajender said during the budget speech.
The State has initiated a number of measures for the welfare of women and children. In order to provide nutritious food to pregnant and lactating women and infants under Arogya Lakshmi, eggs, milk and nutritious food will be made available through the Anganwadis. For easy digestion, ‘Sanna Biyyam’ (fine rice) will be supplied through these Anganwadis.
The State proposes to compensate pregnant women for the loss of income during the pregnancy period (where women tend to work) and offer ₹4,000 in assistance and another ₹4,000 after discharge from hospital. And at the time of vaccination, ₹4,000 will be provided taking the total assistance to ₹12,000 to women undergoing institutional delivery. And to cap it all, in the case of delivery of a baby girl, the mother gets additional ₹1,000.
