BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus Programmes:

#First Degree Programmes: 

B.E. Chemical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Science/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Electronics & Communication Engineering for duration of 4 years.

#Higher Degree Courses:

M.E. Design Engineering/ Microelectronics/ Software Systems/ M.B.A. for duration of 2 years.

#Doctoral Programmes:

Doctoral Programmes (Ph.D) in Engineering and Allied disciplines.

About BITS:

In 1964, the Birla Colleges of Humanities, Commerce, Engineering, Pharmacy and Science were merged to form the Birla Institute of Technology & Science. The board provided direction in developing a curriculum, selecting equipment, upgrading the library and recruiting (and training) an Indian faculty. To quicken the pace of reform he convinced C. R. Mitra to be the new director of the institute. Mitra advocated a "practice school" internship program as a requirement for faculty and students. The Practice School Program is still a requirement for students in BITS.

BITS has established centres at Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai. BITS administers the all-India computerised competitive entrance examination, BITSAT (BITS Admission Test), Admission is merit-based, as assessed by the BITSAT examination. The fully residential institute is privately supported.

Eligibility:

BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus has stringent eligibility criteria for admission into all programmes. Admission to BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus is based on the merit of the candidate. For First Degree admission the merit is determined by the overall aggregate marks of the candidate in the Qualifying Examination (12th Grade or equivalent). For Higher Degree admission, apart from the marks in the qualifying examination (B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent), the candidate's performance in the admission interview is also considered.

Scholarships:

A large number of scholarships and fee concessions under various categories are available for admitted students. Meritorious students are offered Tuition Fee scholarship and Hostel Fee concession based on the Grade 12 marks. Students with BITSAT score are also eligible for Tuition Fee scholarship and Hostel Fee concession based on the score.
