Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB CET) is a national level entrance examination. This exam is administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). DNB CET 2017 is conducted for admission to various Post Graduate DNB courses including Direct 6 year course in the specialty of Neuro-Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. This entrance exam was conducted 2 times in a year, one in January month and second in July month. Purpose of Examination: Qualifying cum Ranking Examination for admission to DNB courses
Periodicity: Twice a year
Mode of conduct: Computer based
Seat Allotment: Merit Based Counseling conducted by NBE
Reservation of seats: For SC/ST/OBC/Persons with disability (PWD) at hospitals/institutions which are covered as per rules (Govt./Public Sector)
Online Registration: 13th April to13th May, 2017
Eligibility Criteria
1.Candidates have to complete their MBBS degree. The degree is recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
2.Candidates have to complete their one year internship on or before 31st July 2017.
3.Candidates who are pursuing DNB course is not be eligible to apply.
4.To be eligible for DNB CET, candidates must be registered from MCI/State medical council. It is compulsory.
Application Fee
DNB CET-SS 2017 application fee is Rs. 4500/- that can be submitted through credit card/debit card/net banking. The fee is non-refundable.
How to apply
Candidates may register & schedule for their exam online via www.nbe.edu.in from 13 April - 13 May, 2017.
Exam Pattern
The examination of DNB CET is conducted in CBT mode only. The question paper is consist of 300 multiple choice questions. The duration of the exam will be three hours. There is no negative marking in the DNB CET 2017. The Syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India.

DNB CET 2017 Admit Card
Candidates can download their DNB CET 2017 admit card 2017 during the registration process. The admit card will be issued once the registration and scheduling process is successfully completed. Candidates take the printout copy of admit card and paste a latest passport size photograph. Candidates must ensure that all details such as Name, Gender, Date of Birth, etc is correct.
Candidates have to bring the given documents to the examination center:
#Admit Card Printcopy with photo pasted on it.
#Photocopy of your Permanent or Provisional SMC/MCI registration, to be retained by the test centre.
#Any one of the following Original & Valid/Non-Expired authorized photo IDs (Driving #License/PAN Card/Passport/Aadhar card (with photograph)/Voter ID ).
DNB CET 2017 Result
Candidates can check their DNB CET SS Result 2017 through online process. The result for July session will be declared on 31st July 2017. The result will be valid only for the current session i.e. July 2017 admission.
DNB CET 2017 Counselling
The qualifiers of DNB CET 2017 is called for the centralized merit based counselling process. The counselling is conducted only for merit holders. Seat allotment at various NBE accredited Medical Colleges/Institutions/Hospital will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in entrance exam.
