TS POLYCET 2017 Syllabus, Exam pattern/ Scheme of exam, Syllabus for TS POLYCET Entrnace Exam 2017: TS POLYCET is a Polytechnic common entrance test conducted by TS State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad for admission into Diploma level programmes conducted in Government, aided, Private unaided polytechnics and polytechnics run in existing Private unaided Engineering Colleges. Every candidate desirous of seeking admission into Engineering/Non - Engineering Diploma courses can apply through online for TS POLYCET-2017. No separate application form for admission is prescribed. The filled in application for Telangana POLYCET-2017 itself is an application for admission.Time duration for TS POLYCET 2017 Entrance exam:The examination (POLYCET TS) will be of 2 hours duration consisting of only one paper as per the syllabus in the subjects of 1. Mathematics, 2. Physics, 3. Chemistry, 4. Social Studies and 5. English of X Class (S.S.C.) Examination March / April, 2017 as prescribed by State Board of Secondary Education, Telangana
No. of Questions for TS POLYCET 2017 Entrance test:The Question paper consists of 120 questions with a choice of four responses for each question with only one correct response among them.
The pattern proposed is as follows.
i) 50 Questions in Mathematics for 50 Marks.
ii) 25 Questions in Physics for 25 Marks.
iii) 25 Questions in Chemistry for 25 Marks.
iv) 10 Questions in Social Studies for 10 Marks.
v) 10 Questions in English for 10 Marks.
Total 120 Questions for 120 Marks
The candidates should not bring any other material. This instruction sheet also should not be brought into the examination Hall. Instruction sheet would be available in the Examination hall for ready reference. Candidates should not bring Logarithmic Tables, Calculators, pagers, Cell phone or any other supporting electronic gadgets into the Examination Hall. Any candidate found in possession of any forbidden material will be sent out of the Examination Hall and may also lead to the cancellation of performance of the candidate.
Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places till the completion of the Examination. In no case will they be allowed to leave the examination Hall till 12-00 Noon, i.e. one hour after the commencement of the Examination. Before leaving, the candidates must return the response sheet/answer sheet and can take away the question paper booklet.
Every Candidate appearing for POLYCET-2017 shall be provided with a specially designed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Response Sheet (Answer Sheet), on which the candidate shall have to mark his or her answers and other relevant data. The method of marking the answers is illustrated in this section. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given for marking the answers and other entries on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet thoroughly and practice the same at their residence, which would make it easy for them to answer in the Examination Hall.
Further the Candidates are advised not to scribble or make any marks on the response sheet except marking the answers and other relevant data at the appropriate place on the Response Sheet. Any violation of these instructions will automatically lead to the disqualification of the Candidate.
Candidates shall note that they will not be given a second blank Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet under any circumstances. Hence they are advised to be very careful while handling the OMR response sheet. Candidates shall read the instruction sheet carefully before starting to answer the questions.
The question paper booklet given to the Candidates shall consist of 120 multiple choice type questions in 5 different sections with four responses given to each question out of which only one response is correct for the given question. Candidates shall mark the correct answer in the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet by shading in Dark the appropriate circle with HB/2Bpencil only.They should not use under any circumstance Ballpen for this purpose.
Candidates shall be required to indicate their Hall ticket number on the Optical mark reader
(OMR) response sheet. It shall be done as demonstrated by shading the appropriate circle.
Candidates are requested to answer all questions. All questions carry equal marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
SYLLABUS FOR POLYTECHNIC COMMON ENTRANCE TEST
The syllabus of mathematics, Physics and Chemistery for POLYCET-2015 is the same as that of SSC Examination of March / April 2017 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana.
Structure of the question paper:

TS SBTET News: It is to inform you that the changes have been made in the Question paper pattern for POLYCET-20 l 7 Common Entrance Examination Test for admission into Polytechnics for the academic year 2017-2018 onwards. The Duration of Entrance Exam is Two hours ( 120 minutes) the question pattern is Multiple choice questions or one mark each. Hence it is requested to give wide publicity for the benefit or candidates who are attending the .class X examination.
The question paper for common Entrance Test for admission into polytehnics consists of 120 questions. All questions are of multipe – choice type. Each question will have a stem and four answers noted against as 1,2,3 and 4. Out of these four, only one is an appropriate answers to the statement given in stem and other three are distractors. A few sample questions of the type in all subjects are shown here. The stem is given both in Telugu and English. The distractors are also given in both languages whenever necessary. All correct responses (Answers) to the questions must be entered by shading / darkening the circle / oval on the OMR responces Sheet provided seperately for this purpose.
